Description
Daisy is a well trained spotted saddle horse mare. She stands a sturdy 14.2 hh. I don’t even know where to begin, I could talk about this beautiful mare all day long. Daisy has been ridden all over Texas, Arizona. Oregon, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Virginia and many more. She has been on many day rides, overnight and weekend trips. She handles every trip like a champ. She has been stalled while camping, as well as tied out on a hi-line. She does great with both.
Daisy will confidently ride out alone, in a small group, or in large groups. She has been ridden in each of these environments countless times. Daisy has been ridden right from the farm to near-by trails, hauled to Daniel Boone National Forest, over to Big South Fork, and Hensley Settlement riding area just to name a few. Daisy has been to several fun shows with us and always does a great job. She nearly always places and commonly brings home the blue, 1st place ribbons. Her impeccable and unique look, outstanding gait, and sensible mind always captures the crowds attention whether at the show or on the trail. She has a great conformation, two beautiful blue eyes, and a champagne tobiano coat pattern, and to top it off she also has the champagne tracks along her body. This is such a rare combination, I’ve never seen another like her. Not only does Daisy have the beauty, she also has the brains. She stands to tack up, blanket, groom, great ground manners, great for the farrier, stands very nice and patient to mount and dismount, trailers well, easily loads and unloads from any type of horse trailer, traffic and dog safe, easily picks up all four feet and let’s you handle them, and the list goes on.
We have ridden her bareback and I’ve even showed her in some bareback fun classes, she is always silky smooth, both saddled and bareback. Daisy presents herself so well and has a great headset, she has the trail pleasure type of saddle gait that is a luxury to ride. Although she has this great gait, she is also content to walk. Daisy has been in many different environments and handles them well. She has seen and been in large groups of people and horses, in large rings with loudspeakers, and mountainous and rugged terrain. Daisy is sure-footed and carefully works her way through the trails. She carefully and confidently works her way across slick rocks, downed trees, steep mountains, deep bodies of water, and almost anything else you can think of on the trail. Daisy has also often encountered wildlife and atv’s along our rides, she doesn’t mind either.
Daisy has been one of our personal and go-to horses for the past few years, whether I want to go out on a fun trail ride or over to a show to have fun and show off, she never lets me down, she always comes willing to work with no drama. Daisy has the heart of a mare we love so much, she knows when to be sweet and be your best friend, but yet has the fire in her soul to take you anywhere you point her to go. While being with us Daisy has always had her annual coggins done and been de-wormed semi-annually. Her coggins are UTD. She is mainly pastured out with a few others, unless they are stalled while camping or due to bad weather. Daisy is an easy keeper and maintains her weight well, even on long camping trips. She has a thick, stout, and sturdy frame to her. As I said I could talk all day about her, but take a look at her videos for yourself.
We think very highly of this mare, as she has been a part of our family for quite a while. We want a great home for her, as she has had. She is a blast to ride and own, and we want to offer the opportunity for someone to have a chance at getting as much enjoyment with her as we have.
