Description
He is a Blue Roan Welsh Gelding that stands just at 12 hands. We have owned and enjoyed this pony through many seasons and he is a proven fit for children of varied riding abilities and confidence levels. We have used him as a turnback pony, using pony, lead line pony and just something to tolerate kid shenanigans with or without a saddle. He can lie down when asked, leads respectfully for little children and enjoys being groomed. Amigo has a plucky, friendly personality and stands quietly whether he’s with other horses or all alone. He is gentle enough for a hesitant rider, but has enough life and feel to be enjoyable for a kid who wants to see some country, do a job or ride with a little more speed. He travels smoothly and confidently. He’s seasoned to cattle, sheep, goats, deer, blackbucks, dogs, cats, poultry, heavy equipment, bicycles and more. He’s lived with big horses and small ponies – mares, geldings and stallions – and always gets along fine. Amigo has truly been a sensible, trustworthy and honest pony that we all love. He is strong enough for an adult to step on and ride.
